I vividly remember the episode when Hari is riding the bicycle continuously for days so that he could set a record and get some money and how each and every person in the Nukkad cheers and wheedles him to go on. Guru, Radha, Khopadi, Ghanshu, Ganpat, Hari, Kadarbhai’s hotel. I recall each and every character as if I were related to them. I began reminiscing about all those wonderful serials and programs that used to come on DD and more importantly the prominence that it had in our lives then. The sound brought with it a breeze of memories that were tucked under the expanse of time that had passed in the meanwhile. Well, may be, but for me it really meant a world which was different and endearing. The generation younger to me may take this as yet another case of senility tom toming about their good old days.
That was enough an impetus for me to skip right back in time and dwell on those golden days of Indian Television. The familiar sound of the trumpet that used to come at the end of every episode of ‘Nukkad’. ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’ was one of the top serials of its time, the audience loved it very much, the first episode of this show was telecasted on 16 October 2000, which continued to entertain the audience for 8 years.Just the other day as I was switching channels incessantly more as a habit than anything else I heard it, and it brought back a flood of memories. Coming soon Kahani Ghar Ghar KiĮkta Kapoor is known for her serial’s special stories, the new concept of her serial entices the audience a lot, according to a report, she has made serial Kavach and serial looks very good that second season but now a new name in this list The second season of Ekta serial Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki is going to be connected soon on TV. Talk about the second season of Star Plus’ show ‘Pratigya’ or the second season of ‘Kasauti Zindagi’, all these shows which used to be top in their time. Different seasons of serials have started coming on the small screen too, there are many such old shows, whose season 2 has come on TV.
Just as there is a trend of making sequels in films nowadays, similarly the makers of daily soaps are also not behind in making sequels of serials.
